Payment, Cancellation, Substitution and Refunds
Opsel Compliance Consultancy Services Ltd
Version 2.0
Effective date: 23rd July 2026
Applies to: all delegates and organisations booking a training course with Opsel
1. Scope
These terms apply to all bookings for training courses, workshops or events provided by Opsel Compliance Consultancy Services Ltd (“Opsel”), whether booked by an individual delegate or by an organisation on behalf of its staff. They should be read alongside the booking confirmation or invoice issued for the specific course.
2. Payment Terms
The full course fee must be paid prior to the start date of the course and before access will be given to the training room (or, for online courses, before joining details are released), unless a prior arrangement has been agreed in writing with Opsel’s management.
- Invoices are payable in full by the due date shown on the invoice, and in any event no later than the course start date.
- Bank transfer, card payment, and any agreed currency/VAT position are accepted payment methods.
- Opsel reserves the right to refuse admission to a delegate whose fees remain unpaid at the start of the course, without this being treated as a cancellation by Opsel.
3. Cancellation Policy
Any cancellation must be made in writing (see Section 8) and will take effect from the date it is received and acknowledged by Opsel. The fee payable depends on how much notice is given before the course start date:
Notice given before course start date | Fee payable | Refund |
14 days or more | None | Full refund |
7–13 days | 20% of the course fee | 80% refunded |
3–6 days | 50% of the course fee | 50% refunded |
Less than 3 days, or no written notice given | 100% of the course fee | No refund |
4. Substitute Delegates
A substitute delegate is welcome at any time, including on the day of the course itself, at no extra charge, if the originally registered delegate is unable to attend. There is no notice period for substitutions — only for cancellations (Section 3) and no-shows (Section 5).
All substitutions must be notified in writing and acknowledged by Opsel by email to info@opselcompliance.com before the substitute delegate attends.
5. No-Show Policy
If a delegate does not attend the course and no written cancellation notice has been given in line with Section 3, the full course fee (100%) is payable and no refund will be made.
6. Refund Policy
A full refund will be made where written cancellation is received at least 14 days before the course start date. Where a refund is due under Section 3, it will be processed within 10 working days using the original method of payment.
If Opsel cancels an event for any reason, including but not limited to a force majeure occurrence, Opsel will use reasonable endeavours to arrange for delegates to attend a similar event on a later date. Should the event be permanently cancelled with no rearranged date offered, a full refund will be made.
7. How to Notify Opsel
Notices of cancellation, substitution, or any query about these terms should be sent in writing to:
- Email: info@opselcompliance.com
- Post: Opsel, 34 Chaffinch Avenue, Shirley, Croydon, CR0 7SE
A notice only takes effect once it has been acknowledged by Opsel in writing. If you have not received an acknowledgement within a reasonable time, please follow up by phone on +44 7950 377849 to confirm receipt, particularly where a notice period deadline is close.
8. General
- These terms take precedence over any conflicting terms unless a variation has been agreed with Opsel’s management in writing.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales including any overseas bookings.
This policy is reviewed regularly and updated as required. Next scheduled review: 22nd July 2027.
